Product notes
Tawny Ports with an age indication (10, 20, 30, 40 years or more) are more complex and concentrated. The age indicated is the approximate average of the ages of Ports blended after aging in oak barrels (minimum 5 to 7 years in barrel)
Production notes
Pacheca 40 Year Old Tawny Port is made from several Ports aged for many years in old 550-liter barrels in the Quinta da Pacheca cellars. During the aging process, the wine loses its color, taking on the amber-auburn color characteristic of old Ports.
Tasting notes
This wine presents an intense aroma of raisins and caramel. On the palate, it reveals a delicate complexity of chocolate, caramel, and raisins with the persistence that only an old wine achieves.
