Production notes

Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominate the vineyard of this estate, which became part of the Fabre Domains in 1982. Here, the clay-gravel soils give rise to a cuvée with a deep ruby color and rich aromas of red berries and mixed sweet spices. In this exceptional vintage from Haut-Médoc, Le Chêne excels. A successful balance between beautiful freshness and ample structure, supported by smooth tannins, all leading to a very pleasant fruity finish. Delicate, seductive, and attractive. At this price, as Jean-Luc Picard (a winemaker in his spare time) so aptly put it: "Resistance is futile."
