About this winery
De Stefani Estate, situated in the rolling hills of Conegliano and Refrontolo (a UNESCO World Heritage site), has been renowned since 1918. Production notes
"Solèr." This is how the ancients referred to the rooms where the grapes are dried. Here is an extraordinary blend of 5 grape varieties in equal parts, a signature specialty of the house. On one hand, the Marzemino and Refosco are vinified Amarone-style; after fermentation, they join the three French varieties vinified in the traditional method. The result: an exceptional wine brimming with flavors and richness to the fullest. A bright dark ruby with violet highlights, it offers high aromatic complexity with black cherries, balsamic, sweet spices, and roses. Remarkable balance where the tannins, which one might expect to be harsh, are actually muscular yet silky. The finish, with its chocolate fruitcake flavors, lingers delightfully. A superb wine!
