Production notes
Tomero Single Vineyard Malbec 2018 is a powerful yet refined expression of Mendoza’s Uco Valley. Deep purplish-red in the glass, it greets the nose with dark berry aromas—blackberry, plum and blackcurrant leaf—alongside hints of leather, cocoa and subtle earthiness. On the palate, medium-bodied elegance unfolds: fruity core rich in plum, cherry and blackberry is framed by fine-grained, silky tannins and moderate acidity. Toasted oak adds layers of sweet spice, vanilla and white chocolate, while subtle licorice and mocha notes linger. The finish is persistent and warm, with a polished structure that carries hints of roasted coffee and mineral nuances. Ideal with roast game, aged cheese or mushroom risotto, this vintage will age gracefully over the next decade.
