About this winery
In 1999, Don Pedro fulfilled his dream by establishing a winery in Enguera. A family-owned estate dedicated to producing high-quality bottled wines that faithfully reflect the characteristics of the soil and climate of Fontanars dels Alforins. Product notes
After a few more years in bottle, the wine will gain in intensity: ripe fruit notes will become more dominant, and the tannins will bring greater concentration and elegance to the wine.
Production notes
The grapes for this Finca Enguera Reserva come from the Casa Lluch and Casa Corones vineyards, located in Fontanars dels Alforins. These are non-irrigated vines, 18 to 20 years old. Each grape variety was fermented separately. The Monastrell skins were perfectly ripe, allowing us to carry out a gentle yet extended maceration over 20 days (15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon). Part of the malolactic fermentation took place in barrels, where the wine rested for 14 months, gaining structure and complexity. Once blended and bottled, the wine is kept in our cellar for 2 years before the release of the new vintage.
Tasting notes
The wine shows great aromatic complexity. Predominant aromas of cinnamon, pepper, and aromatic herbs emerge on the nose. On the fruit side, notes of ripe fruit, blackberry, blueberry, and ripe plum unfold, accompanied by subtle balsamic touches. On the palate, this is a full-bodied wine with remarkable complexity, featuring elegant and supple tannins perfectly balanced by vibrant acidity.
